This beautiful sunset was taken at the Ashtamudi Lake in Kerala, India. In Malayalam, Ashtamudi means ‘eight coned’, which describes the lake perfectly… a lake with many branches.
Shooting this particular sunset was a memorable experience as we had to find our way through some village homes to get to our intended spot. Along the way, we gathered our entourage of curious village kids happily helping us plowing through the bushes and watching us chasing the sunset.
We love how these giant chinese fishing nets or cheena vala all lined up in a row facing the sun as it sets… marking the end of another fruitful day.
