Once there were more than 2000 trishaws that roam the streets of Penang, but modern times has nearly phased them out, leaving about 200 trishaws today. A ride on one of these trishaws is one of the best way to experience Georgetown and one may be surprised with the many interesting stories kept by these trishaw peddlers.
