In our recent trip to Japan, we had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Mt Hokkaido Komagatake, one of the famous active volcanic mountain on the island of Hokkaido. It is located about an hour drive from Hakodate town and is the landmark that represents Onuma Quasi-National Park. Also known as Oshima Fuji, the mountain last woke up in 1998, making mountain climbing now prohibited.
