Mount Usu is one of the many active volcanoes in Hokkaido, Japan. It has erupted 4 times in the last 100 years with recent activity recorded in the year 2000.
One of the ways up to Mount Usu is via Usuzan Ropeway. From its observation deck, you can see Lake Toya as well as a younger volcano known as Showa Shinzan.
