LANGKAWI WALK-THE-DOC
SUBMISSION IS OPEN NOW

So you'd like to submit your documentary? Great Idea!

Langkawi Walk-the-Doc is an initiative by Walkabout Asia, in partnership with Langkawi Development Authority (LADA). It is a film festival for documentaries from the fields of nature, environment and travel. We are looking for stories that document interesting events, amazing people and intriguing things that address the beauty and how we care or should care about our planet. Travel or tourism related stories that are committed to sustainable and green tourism will be given special consideration.

Through our Premier Night, we offer an ideal setting for documentary filmmakers to premier new work and talent as well as developing lasting relationships among industry players. We have several awards up for grabs, to celebrate the very best of the submissions we receive, curated from our Official Selection.

Langkawi Walk-The-Doc takes place every year in Langkawi, Malaysia. Designated as a Unesco Global Geopark, Langkawi is the perfect place for filmmakers around the world to gather in which the winning documentaries will be awarded and shown.

Langkawi Walk-the-Doc is now open for submission and you have until 30 November 2021 to submit your documentaries.

We look forward to supporting your work, so submit today!
